The TaylorMade Burner Superfast driver is a worthy successor to the iconic Burner name. The distinctive elongated head looks like Chris Hoy's helmet, but we like it and it helps provide the low deep centre of gravity that gives this club the extra forgiveness it needs. Model Reviewed: Taylormade Burner Supersteel driver In the late 90's I purchased a TiBubble 2 driver for about $300 (graphite shaft). When I hit it straight it went far but that was the problem, not consistantly. The aim of the TaylorMade Superfast Burner driver is to increase swingspeed - and therefore distance off the tee - without sacrificing forgiveness. The Burner is no new kid on the block, but it continues to be a favourite amongst TG staff, readers… and seemingly testers. The Dual Crown technology lowers the CG which leads to higher launch and low spin. The only thing that put our testers off was the look of the club – the dual crown does make it a little bulbous, but performance-wise this stacked up with the best on test.
